Full read-write Claude connector for Webex
Let Claude post to spaces and schedule meetings in Webex
Stop switching to Webex to share an update or set up a call. Claude posts into the right space, creates and updates meetings, and manages who is in a space, all where the conversation already lives, and only sends once you approve.
Webex is Cisco's meetings, messaging, and calling platform that many teams run their collaboration on. People want Claude to do more than read message history: to post into the right space, schedule meetings, and manage memberships on their behalf.
What is a Webex MCP server?
A Webex MCP server is a small hosted service that exposes Webex's data and actions to Claude over the Model Context Protocol, so Claude can draft, send, and triage messages inside your own account. We build it as a custom connector with separate read and write tools, and destructive actions stay gated behind your approval.
What can Webex's current connector do today?
Today, Webex's connection to Claude tends to be read-leaning where it exists at all: Claude can often surface messages and meeting details, but posting to spaces, creating meetings, and managing memberships are typically limited or unavailable. A custom Webex connector adds those write actions with scoped, human-in-the-loop controls.
What does full read-write Webex access unlock?
Full read-write Webex access lets Claude post a message into a specific space, create or update a meeting and invite attendees, add or remove people from a space, and share a file once you approve. The coordination that used to mean switching apps happens where the conversation already lives.
- Post a message into a specific Webex space, with formatting preserved
- Create a meeting and invite attendees, or update an existing one
- Add or remove people from a space as membership changes
- Create a new space and seed it with the right participants
- Share a file or update into the relevant space after you approve
Can Claude post a message into a Webex space?
Yes. With a full read-write Webex connector, Claude posts a message into the specific space you choose, with formatting kept intact. Default connections are usually read-leaning, so reliably posting into a space needs a purpose-built connector with that scope enabled, and the outbound post waits for your approval.
Can Claude schedule a meeting in Webex?
Claude can create a Webex meeting and invite attendees, or update the details of an existing one. It prepares the meeting and drafts the invite, but scheduling is a gated action that runs only after you confirm, so nothing lands on calendars until you approve it.
Can Claude manage who is in a Webex space?
Yes. Claude can add or remove people from a space as membership changes, and create a new space seeded with the right participants. Removing members is a gated action that waits for your confirmation, and the connector never has more access to spaces than your own Webex account already has.
How a Webex connector works
We build a small MCP server that authenticates to Webex with OAuth 2.0 and the narrowest scopes the work needs. Read tools (list spaces, read messages, view meetings) and write tools (post, create meeting, manage membership) are separated, and outbound or destructive actions like posting and removing members require your confirmation. Claude only ever has the access your own Webex account already has, and we can add IP allowlisting where your deployment requires it.
