Full read-write Claude connector for Freshsales
Make Claude log activity and update deals in Freshsales
Stop doing CRM data entry by hand. Claude updates deal stages, logs calls and notes, and creates follow-up tasks directly in Freshsales, so the hygiene happens where your pipeline already lives and you approve anything that changes a record.
Freshsales is Freshworks' sales CRM, where teams track contacts, accounts, deals, and the activity around them. People want Claude to do more than look records up: to update deal stages, log notes, and create tasks directly inside the CRM.
What is a Freshsales MCP server?
A Freshsales MCP server is a small hosted service that exposes Freshsales's data and actions to Claude over the Model Context Protocol, so Claude can manage contacts, deals, and pipeline inside your own account. We build it as a custom connector with separate read and write tools, and destructive actions stay gated behind your approval.
What can Freshsales's current connector do today?
Today, Freshsales does not offer an official first-party Claude or MCP connector, and any general integration tends to be read-leaning, so Claude can summarize records but usually cannot move deals, log activity, or create tasks. A custom Freshsales connector adds those write actions through the Freshsales API with scoped, human-in-the-loop controls.
What does full read-write Freshsales access unlock?
Full read-write Freshsales access lets Claude update a deal stage, log a call or meeting note, create a follow-up task, add or update a contact, and assign records to the right owner once you approve. The CRM hygiene that used to mean manual data entry happens where the pipeline already lives.
- Update a deal's stage, amount, or expected close date
- Log a call, meeting, or note against a contact or deal
- Create a follow-up task and assign it to an owner
- Add a new contact or account, or update an existing record's fields
- Move a deal owner or reassign records across the team
- Find every open deal matching a query and propose batched updates
Can Claude update deal stages in Freshsales?
Yes. With a full read-write Freshsales connector, Claude can update a deal's stage, amount, or expected close date directly in the CRM through the Freshsales API. The default situation is read-leaning with no official Claude connector, so moving deals needs a purpose-built connector, and you approve each change before it saves.
Can Claude log calls and create follow-up tasks in Freshsales?
Yes. Claude can log a call, meeting, or note against a contact or deal, then create a follow-up task and assign it to the right owner. It writes through scoped API access, so activity logging and task creation flow inside Freshsales instead of living in a separate notes doc.
Will Claude reassign or change Freshsales records on its own?
Only within the limits you set. Reassigning a deal owner or updating contact fields can be gated behind a confirmation step, so Claude prepares the change and you approve it. The connector inherits its Freshsales account's permissions and never gets more access to your CRM than that account already has.
How a Freshsales connector works
We build a small MCP server that authenticates to Freshsales with scoped API access, using only the permissions the work needs. Read tools (search contacts, read deals) and write tools (update deal, log activity, create task) are kept separate, and destructive or outbound actions require your confirmation. Claude never has more access than the account whose credentials it uses, and we can add IP allowlisting where your Freshsales plan supports it.
