How a Recurly connector works
We build a small MCP server that authenticates to Recurly with a scoped API key and uses the narrowest permissions the work needs. Read tools (look up account, list subscriptions, read invoice) and write tools (create subscription, issue credit, refund) are separated, and actions that move money or send notices require your confirmation. Claude only ever has the access the key itself has, and we can pair it with IP allowlisting so the connector reaches Recurly from a known address.
