Full read-write Claude connector for Gravity Forms

Let Claude build forms and triage entries in Gravity Forms

Stop clicking through the WordPress admin to spin up a form or clear new submissions. Claude builds the form, edits fields, and triages incoming entries where they already live, with deletes and notification triggers held for your approval.

Gravity Forms is a WordPress plugin for building forms that capture leads, payments, registrations, and other entries directly on your site. People want Claude to do more than read entries: to build and edit forms and act on submissions through the Gravity Forms REST API.

What is a Gravity Forms MCP server?

A Gravity Forms MCP server is a small hosted service that exposes Gravity Forms's data and actions to Claude over the Model Context Protocol, so Claude can responses and submissions inside your own account. We build it as a custom connector with separate read and write tools, and destructive actions stay gated behind your approval.

What can Gravity Forms's current connector do today?

Today, Gravity Forms has no dedicated first-party Claude connector, so most setups only read entries through a generic integration or export. That leaves form creation, field edits, and follow-up on submissions outside Claude. A custom connector wraps the Gravity Forms REST API with scoped, human-in-the-loop write controls.

What does full read-write Gravity Forms access unlock?

Full read-write Gravity Forms access lets Claude create a form, add or reorder fields, adjust confirmations and notifications, and triage incoming entries in one place. Claude can mark entries read, starred, or spam, trigger a form's configured notification, and draft follow-ups for you to send, all where your forms already live and behind your approval.

  • Create a new form from a brief and add fields in order
  • Add, edit, or reorder fields and choices on an existing form
  • Update confirmation messages and notification routing for a form
  • Read incoming entries and mark them read, starred, or spam to triage
  • Trigger a form's configured notification for an entry on your confirmation
  • Draft personalized follow-up replies to recent submitters for you to send

Can Claude create and edit forms in Gravity Forms?

Yes. Claude can create a form in Gravity Forms from a brief, add or reorder fields and choices, and update confirmation messages and notification routing through the REST API. The build and the edits happen in place, so you skip the click-through in the WordPress admin while keeping full control.

Can Claude triage incoming entries in Gravity Forms?

Claude can read incoming Gravity Forms entries and mark them read, starred, or spam as you clear the queue. It can also trigger a form's configured notification for an entry and draft personalized follow-up replies for you to send, so the work after a submission lands in one place instead of scattered tabs.

Will Claude delete entries or trigger notifications without my approval?

No. Deletes and triggering a form's configured notification are separate, gated actions in Gravity Forms. Claude prepares the change or drafts a follow-up for you to send, but it proceeds only after you confirm. The connector uses scoped API keys or your WordPress account, so it never gets more access than your own credential already allows.

How a Gravity Forms connector works

We build a small MCP server that authenticates to the Gravity Forms REST API using scoped API keys (or your WordPress account credentials) with the narrowest access the work needs. Read tools (list forms, read entries) and write tools (create form, edit fields, trigger configured notifications) are separated, and destructive or outbound actions like delete and triggering a notification require your confirmation. If your WordPress site sits behind a firewall, we can IP-allowlist the server, and Claude only ever has the access your own account already has.

Frequently asked questions

Can Claude create and edit Gravity Forms forms, not just read entries?
Yes. A custom Gravity Forms connector exposes write tools against the REST API, so Claude can create a form, add or reorder fields, and adjust confirmations and notifications. Because Gravity Forms has no dedicated first-party Claude connector, most default setups only read entries, which is why building and editing forms needs a purpose-built connector.
Will Claude delete an entry or trigger a notification without my approval?
No. Delete and triggering a form's configured notification are separate, gated write actions. Claude can prepare the change or draft a follow-up for you to send, but it only proceeds after you approve it. You decide which actions run automatically and which require a confirmation step, so nothing irreversible happens to your forms or entries on its own.
Does the Gravity Forms connector get more access than I have?
No. The connector authenticates with scoped API keys or your WordPress account and inherits those existing permissions and form access. It never grants Claude more access to your site or entries than the credential already allows, and you can rotate the keys or revoke that access at any time from WordPress.
